Lace-up your running shoes tomorrow morning and help run poverty out of Indian River County at the 12th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot Against Poverty 5K. All proceeds benefit United Against Poverty of Indian River County whose mission is to provide crisis care, case management, transformative education, food and household subsidy, and employment training to serve those in poverty. They hope to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency.
It’s not too late to register for the Trot Against Poverty! Head over to Runners Depot Vero Beach, FL today or on race day at Riverside Park to sign up. The race begins at 7:30 AM at Riverside Park in Vero Beach and this year a record-breaking 2,000 runners are expected to attend! Bring your family and friends along to enjoy the popular Sweet Potato Pancake Breakfast with all the fixings and take a photo with the 25 foot Turkey!
