WEDNESDAY WISDOM | Did you know…

Indian River County is the citrus capital of North America with more than a century of history tied to the famous Indian River Citrus. Located just a mile from the Indian River Mall is the historic citrus operation Peterson Groves, which was owned and operated by the Peterson family for 100 years until Vero Beach natives & local citrus family, Eric & Tiffany Barkwell, took over the operation in 2013. They continue to grow and sell a large variety of produce in addition to their own fresh squeezed juice and fruit continuing the tradition of this historic citrus packing house which is one of the oldest in the county.

A visit the farm store is a step back in time and is full of gourmet dressings, dips, sauces, local honey, farm fresh eggs and produce, souvenirs, sweet delicious Florida taffy, Alligator Jerky and so much more.
