The Vero Beach Book Center is more than a bookstore offering best sellers, it has been hosting famous authors since 1975. Astronauts, politicians, former presidents and vice presidents, celebrity chefs, authors, athletes and television stars have all visited The Vero Beach Book Center in front of a packed house of avid readers and fans. Tom and Linda Leonard opened the bookstore over 4 decades ago in order to create a place with personality staffed by avid readers who offer a personalized book buying experience that matches readers with books. Now owned and managed by Tom and Linda’s son Chad, the Center hosts 40-50 events throughout the year including author appearances, book signings, book clubs and children’s story hour. Thanks to an extremely loyal customer base, first time visitors and out-of-towners, the Vero Beach Book Center continues to thrive within the community.
