Homes are seawalled and have direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway via The Moorings’ entrance channel at marker 160. Fore the avid golfer, there are 2 golf courses: Hawks Nest and The Moorings Course. Hawks Nest, located on the mainland, is an 18-hole Par 72 course that fits the “natural look” of the land with tall pine and oak trees abundant on the property, because of this, Hawk’s Nest is one of the few “green courses” left in Florida. The Moorings Course is one of only a handful in the world having the entire front nine surrounded by water. The course is certified by The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, which helps to enhance wildlife habitats and protect natural resources for the benefit of people, wildlife, and the game of golf.
Tennis at The Moorings Yacht and Country Club is designed to satisfy all enthusiasts, with 9 Fast-Dry courts, an active year-round tennis program and a professional staff to help you improve your game or match you with players of similar abilities.
